History

The Faculty of Arts and Design was established in 2009. The undergraduate program began in the 2013-2014 academic year, with students admitted to the Department of Visual Communication Design through a special talent exam. The 2014-2015 academic year, the Department of Fine Arts also started admitting students via a special talent exam. In the 2022-2023 academic year, the Department of Industrial Design became active with students admitted through the central placement system, bringing the total number of active departments to three. Students are only admitted to the Department of Fine Arts through a special talent exam.

Our faculty aims to reflect art and design's dynamic, peaceful, and insightful power through projects that contribute to the city's art and design field, with a multi-faceted and competent academic staff. We strive to provide young people with opportunities for free and creative expression.
Our primary goal is to train creative, innovative, environmentally conscious individuals who are aware of both local and universal values, capable of using current technologies, and able to compete at national and international levels. After receiving multidisciplinary education, our faculty graduates can work in various fields related to their areas of expertise, and with additional training, they can also pursue teaching careers.
