At the Department of Visual Communication Design, theoretical courses require at least one midterm and one final exam, while applied courses are evaluated through assignments, practices, projects, or similar applications. Each exam or project is graded on a 100-point scale, and the final grade is calculated based on the weightings announced at the beginning of the semester, also on a 100-point scale. Letter grades are assigned using the system AA-FF, DZ, YT, and YZ. To graduate, students must achieve a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 or higher. If the CGPA drops below 2.00, the student receives an academic warning. Students with warnings are required to retake courses graded FF or DZ, as well as DD and DC, in the following semester.
